ESPN is saying, he failed the drug test as a result of an amphetamine or like substance in a supplement he has been taking. They don't elaborate as to exactly what.

My opinion of the guy and his situation, not that it really matters: he is finally finding out who he is and realizes that he doesn't want to play football, but has to. But when he plays and practices, he works hard. This is the one thing that sticks out about him in my mind and I have respect for him because of this. I don't think that he was making mistakes so much - I believe he was more lost than anything and doing a little soul-searching.

I realized most of this after hearing some similar opinion on Mike & Mike on espn2. The guy's name is Bill Curry - an ex-old school Green Bay player , head coach in college, assistant in nfl, now analyst.

While I am sympathetic with Ricky's plight. I don't believe he is a bad guy.
He commited a Cardinal Sin (no offense to the Catholics, or Ornithologists in the WP) I try to teach my kids that, "YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW". He spit in the NFL's face when he left on his...........................sabbatical. He has failed several tests previously. I personally would not be breathin' air unless the NFL approved it. The NFL is not about to cut him a deal!

I would say he smoked them rather than blew them. Or injected them.

I think he is getting punished for his actions and his lack of desire to play football; I can't argue with his punishments. His punishments are reasonable whether you think his actions were accidental or not.

I still respect him and what he is going through. I think he is just trying to make it through a tough situation, which is not having a desire to play football, but having made a previous commitment to play.

I would say, I have not heard anyone knock Ricky for work ethic "when with the team".
