Monk-Fan 04-25-2006, 09:06 PM Didnt look at it from that perspective TAFKAS. Does anyone in here listen to the NFL Network on SIRIUS? Seems like people are always calling in about the Jets, after a while i turn it off cause im sick of hearing about the damn Jets
GTripp0012 04-25-2006, 09:13 PM Why don't the Raiders want Cutler?
No one knows what the Raiders think about Cutler. But we do know that they like Leinart and Young.
GTripp0012 04-25-2006, 09:17 PM I would predict that barring getting a huge steal at 7, (like a leinart), the Raiders will do the unpredictable. Some predictions at that are Haloti Ngata, Brodrick Bunkley, Ernie Sims, Winston Justice, or Jay Cutler.
Duffman003 04-25-2006, 10:37 PM The Jets do love drafting D linemen
SmootSmack 04-26-2006, 12:30 PM Here's a doozy of a rumor for you (per the San Fransicso Chronicle, if I remember right):
The Saints and Jets would swap positions, allowing New Orleans to select Williams at No. 4. The Jets would then trade the No. 2 pick to the Raiders in exchange for the seventh selection, wide receiver Jerry Porter and additional picks, likely future choices. That move would allow the Raiders to pick either Leinart or Young.
Meanwhile, the Jets would draft offensive lineman D'Brickashaw Ferguson at No. 7, if the Packers haven't grabbed him at No. 5, then trade Ferguson's rights to the Saints.

Here it is.
The three-way trade rumor has come out of New York. It goes like this:
The Saints and Jets would swap positions, allowing New Orleans to select Williams at No. 4. The Jets would then trade the No. 2 pick to the Raiders in exchange for the seventh selection, wide receiver Jerry Porter and additional picks, likely future choices. That move would allow the Raiders to pick either Leinart or Young.
Meanwhile, the Jets would draft offensive lineman D'Brickashaw Ferguson at No. 7, if the Packers haven't grabbed him at No. 5, then trade Ferguson's rights to the Saints.
This kind of multiple-team trade may be common in the NBA but rarely happens in the NFL. Plus, any trade involving Porter would immediately accelerate the remainder of the $7 million signing bonus he received last year.
How much stock would one NFL general manager put in this rumor?
"It's B.S.," the GM said flatly.
Soooo, the Jets are like our...............NFL Europe team???

It makes sense from the Saints' angle: They need help everywhere, and they'd still have the pick of the litter with either Mario Williams, A.J. Hawk, or D'brick Ferguson -- all of whom are likely to be there at #4.
I don't think D'Brickashaw Ferguson falls to #7 though.
