Is there not someone in the world who has a huge leg, but doesn't necessarily kick perfect spirals?
The Skins One ConcernTheMalcolmConnection 04-25-2006, 02:43 PM Is there not someone in the world who has a huge leg, but doesn't necessarily kick perfect spirals? CooleyAsCanBe 04-25-2006, 02:52 PM From this thread's title I thought Dan Snyder's plane had crashed... I'd say my biggest concern is also O-line depth. It was so painful watching the line in our last playoffs game. I always liked Randy Thomas, but it is amazing how much worse our line was without him. Monkeydad 04-25-2006, 02:54 PM I think our weakest link on the team is the punting and kicking. I agree. 724Skinsfan 04-25-2006, 03:05 PM Punting, I guess. I am hopeful that we won't have to punt very often this year. O-line - With Randy out it looked pretty average at best. I wonder if Brunell's performance decline and Randy's injury were related? With a healthy Randy and Rabach. QB - I think Collins will be the backup barring a super stellar preseason by Campbell. Defense - I don't see a concern unless ST has to don a new monocolored uniform. They should have him make a cameo in the Prison Break series! Running - Portis and Betts make me smile. Receiving - they make it fun to run. Be Tuat 04-25-2006, 03:23 PM I agree with the guys who are concern with the O line and its depth. What I don't like about the line condition is that we have several guys coming off of surgeries.... Randy Thomas: broken fibula- he should be ready soon, but still not 100% Casey Rabach: recovering from shoulder surgery and a deep gashed from ATV accident. He may not be ready by training camp. This could be spell out bad for us. I know we drafted two interior O-line men. Jansen still has sore thumb. Samuel had something done to his knee. That's 4 out of 5 O line men coming off of last years injuries.... We need depth on O line Beemnseven 04-25-2006, 03:31 PM No question ... it's the O-line. That Guy is exactly right, so I'll repeat what he said: We saw what happened when Randy Thomas was lost for the season thanks to Ladell Betts. If Samuels, Jansen, or Thomas go down, our season is most likely over. Knowing this, will there be an offensive lineman worth taking at #53? Ade Jimoh Fan Club 04-25-2006, 03:38 PM Definitely punting is a major concern. I'm not sold on Frost as our guy. TAFKAS - if punting is our biggest problem, then that is the best news I've heard all day! That's like saying the biggest flaw of the Detroit Pistons is that their towel boy is on his ass! firstdown 04-25-2006, 03:38 PM I agree with the guys who are concern with the O line and its depth. Remember he broke both last year and was wearing two thumb cast at the same time. What a fluke that was. dmek25 04-25-2006, 03:39 PM i normally would hop on the o line bandwagon but...if brunell would go down, then what?collins is average at best and campbell is untested so life as a redskin fan would become very interesting.not that redskin fans want anything to do with a qback conterversey :) Beemnseven 04-25-2006, 03:42 PM i normally would hop on the o line bandwagon but...if brunell would go down, then what?collins is average at best and campbell is untested so life as a redskin fan would become very interesting.not that redskin fans want anything to do with a qback conterversey :) I've said it over and over, the best thing Redskin fans could hope for is that Jason Campbell wins the job hands down in preseason, thoroughly beating Mark Brunell and gives the coaches absolutely no doubt that he's the best man for the job. If this happens, we're in a nearly perfect situation because I think Brunell would be an ideal backup. |
