I was on my way to a final exam tonight and was stuck at a light next to Joe Jacoby's Jeep dealership in Warrenton. I looked over across the road, and there he was. He wasn't at the dealership, but across the road from it taking pictures of it. He looked good. Last time I saw him, he was really skinny and looked as though he was really sick. But today, he looked bigger, and much healthier. He still was getting around perfectly, but better than just a couple years ago.
I almost stuck my head out the window and yelled 'slobber knocker football is back in town, yaaaaaaaaaah!', but I didn't. :cheeky-sm
Maybe I should stop by some time and tell him to check out the website, if he knows how to get on the net.
Man I loved Jacoby back in the day, remember when he broke his hand and he played with that club on his hand, great stuff!
Was he sick before or something cpayne?

Jake is a Hog for sure. I met him a few years back at RFK at a Christmas Game. My son and I were right on the edge of the walk around inner ring when First "The Chief", then Santa Claus came by shaking and hands but then Big Ole Joe Jacoby himself with his HUGE hands and lisp.
lol
He was very kind and really cool to get to say hello to.
Yell next time!
peace

Matty - I don't think he was sick, but he was in bad shape. If you remember a while back he was in an SI story about the long term effects of football. He was in rough shape then. He was just really skinny, and did look sick. But yesterday, he looked healthy.

I'd love to see Gibbs give ole Jacoby a chance to coach. I loved that guy...best in the game in my opinion.

When he first moved to the area, he was oline coach at a local high school. I think he just likes being retired and hanging out at his Jeep dealership.
