Redskins team needs

To me, the dropoff from how much we need a LB and CB to the next position (TE, S, Oline) is a huge dropoff. If we go anything other than LB or CB in round 2, I'm not going to be a happy camper (unless, of course, they can still make a free agency move in those positions before the draft).

CBs get injured all the time.....what do we do when one of our top 3 guys goes down? Who's our nickleback then? Ade? Seriously, I'd like some more depth there.

At LB, I still don't think we have a reliable starter at weakside OLB. Holdman was terrible last year (we can hope he'll be better, but if he's not he can single-handedly lose us a game or two by giving up a 70 TD run to guys like Tiki and J.Jones). Can one of our other younger guys step up? Maybe, but I certainly haven't seen it yet. At least when we lost Trotter, Pierce had already shown signs of being solid. We lost Armstead, but we got Washington. When we lost Pierce, Marshall had already shown signs of being solid. Now we've lost Arrington, and ??????? So LB is a concern to me.

TE? I don't see this as a need at all. We have a decent blocking TE in Fauria and Cooley handles the pass-catching duty.

Safety? Not really concerned. We have two solid starters, some decent backups, and filling in for a starting safety just isn't as important as filling in for a CB when your starter goes down.

O-line? I see a real need for some solid depth, but using our highest draft pick for o-line depth doesn't make much sense to me when you have needs like LB and CB too. I wish we had the luxury of drafting a solid backup OG/OT in the second round, but I don't think we do.

how about a true fullback the only one we have is rock cartright, that is why his contract was extended

This team's number one need will not be addressed and could not be addressed via the draft: Improvement at QB.

It COULD all work out (and I pray it does). But the overwhelming probabilities are that the QB position is the landmine that blows up the season.

This position is very thin and brittle.

mike sellers is a much better run blocker and he's 280lbs. and if you want a pass catcher, stick cooley back there. FB is most definately NOT a need in my eyes ;)

I would go after an offensive linemen or a CB, with the second rd pick, or a D-tackle or end, but I would take the best available player amoungst that group, I think we can find an athletic LB later in the draft that Williams can mold in a short time.
