would that be a rip off for how deep this draft is?

wow I guess even the 49ers can make a decent move every now and then.

its 780-780 on points, complete wash there.

I do think the 49ers take davis, cause a mismatched TE covered by LBs and safeties is a huge safety blanket for alex smith. They do have johnson, but johnson doesn't really play like a TE, he's not a jumper, he runs straight ahead.

I think pick 22 could be for manny lawson. They have an EXTREME weakness at OLB, and TJ slaughter isn't a great bandaid for one of the 2 open spots.

do you think the niners would take those 2 picks and move to the number 1 to take reggie bush? I know most likely no but it is quite intriging

its possible, but RB isn't there biggest hole and they have serious serious needs at a lot of other positions (LB, secondary, OL, QB :P)

Then they'd have a Bush/Gore backfield. Wouldn't that be something? LOL

speaking of which, wouldn't it be nice to have just 1 election where you actually had a candidate on either side you wanted to win? the last three elections for me have been fairly lose-lose.

The only thing I don't like about the point-valuation chart is that it doesn't, and can't, take into account the differences in talent year to year. For example, the #1 pick this year (likely Reggie Bush) is worth the same number of the points as Alex Smith was last year.

That's why I think it was a good trade for the Broncos. In a year with a deep draft class, it's probably better to trade down to get more picks in the high-mid rounds.

i also think over reliance on a chart that hass no scientific basis is a little crazy, but i guess that's life.

yeah I don't get the value of the chart also it doesn't put the real value on every draft and sometimes teams got to pay 2 much to move up the draft, thsi was a real value trade.
