I've heard a scenario on talk radio that would send both of denver's first round picks this year, and a second or third round also plus their 2nd or third next year to trade up to the texans spot to take Bush.

I hadn't heard that one. I had hear about Denver trading their picks with Green Bay so they can take Vernon Davis at #5 before the Niners can grab him.

Considering the Broncos track record with finding running backs why would they give up so much to move up to get Bush?

B/c he would just dominate teams in that rushing system. Look what mediocre RB's do and look what Portis did his first 2 seasons

the guy on the show was saying that everyone since Portis left has been marginal and the guy felt that Bush is better comming out than portis so inturn getting a back like Bush will make them an AFC Juggernaut, instant contender for the superbowl basically.

This won't happen. If for no other reason that Shanahan's ego. I think it's a stretch to project him to take a RB in the first round much less first overall.

i still honestly believe houston will take him. it might not be their biggest need, but you don't pass up gold when it is in front of you

I know its highly unlikely but if that happened it would be good for both teams... if I was the texans I'd consider it, but ask for their first next year. Then I'd take Lendale and a RT, also a impact defensive player with my second rounder. more value

if the texans trade down, it going to have to be completely out of the top 5... otherwise it's pretty pointless for them. MW is their #2 choice, but ANY trade would make it impossible for them to take him.

they are an anual contender... they seem to keep their O and D both in the top 5-10 every year and haven't had too many issues getting into the postseason. They need major playmakers though. minor upgrades aren't going to help push them over the hump.

I know I said yesterday that it wasnt a smokescreen. But then I heard Charlie Casserly gush about Mario Williams on the NFL network's draft preview. Either he's determined to destroy all intrest in the first pick, or it's a really obvious smokescreen. Nothing about Bush the enitre piece. Just Mario Williams.

So if they trade down to 4, they might even be targeting D'Brickashaw, even if Mario Willams is there. Mario is a better player IMO, but it's kinda weird that the Texans would go so far out of their way to not target Bush or Ferguson

Actually it isn't. Welcome to the 2 weeks prior to the draft.
