What if Bush slides to...

Texans | R. Bush not a lock to be No. 1 draft pick?MTK 04-18-2006, 09:32 AM What if Bush slides to... Nah, I'm not going there. ;) TheMalcolmConnection 04-18-2006, 09:35 AM Haha. Honestly if somehow he made it past the Jets, he might slip quite a ways. jdlea 04-18-2006, 09:37 AM If Reggie makes it past the Texans, I would doubt that he makes it past the Saints. Deuce is very good, but Deuce might have some difficulty producing any more. The guy can't stay healthy. He's great when he's on the field. However, if he's not going to spend much time on it, they might as well add another back who can share the load. It makes sense. Take the pressure off of each guy by having them split carries. #56fanatic 04-18-2006, 09:47 AM Total smoke. Any team, no matter what personel they have, could not pass on a talent like Bush. They could trade Davis for a 2nd or 3rd, or keep both. Texans do have a lot of needs, that could be addressed if they would trade the #1 pick, but not when someone of Bush's talent. I have never seen a player come from college with as much talent as he has. TheMalcolmConnection 04-18-2006, 09:56 AM Bush will be the third leading rusher of all rookies next year in the NFL. dmek25 04-18-2006, 10:04 AM houston has much greater needs than bush.they should look to going in th e15-20 range and trying to stockpile as many picks as possible.d'brick should be their man after carr almost got killed last year.if they want to stay top 10,they can probably get him around 4(maybe trading with the jets, lord knows they would take bush) TheMalcolmConnection 04-18-2006, 10:07 AM Yup, in the top five, the Jets are the only team who really has a huge need at RB. I could see him going to the 9ers honestly if the Jets let him slip. firstdown 04-18-2006, 10:25 AM I hear alot of people say take the best possible player available in the draft. Lets say we had the number one draft spot would we draft Reggie. He would cost alot of $ and we already have Portis and El who are proven players in the NFL. I just don't understand the concept of taken the best player even though there is not a need at the time and wasting a pick and the $ on an unproven player when there is not a need. I was just about to post this question in another thread. That Guy 04-18-2006, 10:29 AM it might just be smoke, but the fact is the texanss having been talking contract with mario williams and haven't even budged on trying to sign reggie. If they were really intent on signing bush, they could have done like the bengals did with palmer and finished his contract by already. |
