We will draft a CB or DT with our first pick

I think we could go with TE, LB, or CB. It depends on who is on the board.

TE - Fauria is a decent pickup, but he's not exactly the long term solution. Plus, this year's crop of TEs is very deep. On the other hand, Cooley has been moved to tight end and so drafting a #2 tight end with our first pick might be a luxury.

LB - I'd like to see a backup currently on our roster become a new starter, but I'm not sure that it is going to happen. Plus, there should be some quality LBs available by the time we pick.

CB - Kenny Wright was a nice addition, but as has been pointed out, Springs is aging and we need someone who can develop into a starter opposite Carlos Rogers. Plus, Williams' defense uses a lot of DBs and we're not that deep at CB or S. I wouldn't mind trading up into the bottom of the first round or top of the second round to grab Cromartie. He was projected as a top 10 pick before he was injured and he seems to have fully recovered. He could be a steal for a team that gets him.

If the draft is deeper at certain positions you can wait until the later rounds to draft at that position. We'll take the best player available that fits our needs at LB, DB, DL, or OL. We can address any of those needs mainly DL and OL, in FA post June 1st.

if we took jeff mitchell we probably wouldn't need to draft an OG high. It looks like the skins have only really looked at LBs and CBs thusfar, so i'd bet on one of those positions.

GW depends on a great secondary so he can cover 0 and blitz a lot. He could have champ mccalister and law and still want more cornerbacks.

We could use some depth at T, especially since our best options are only Wilson and Molinaro. We already have two backup interior linemen in Pucilllo and that guys from the Texans (can't remember his name). DT could be upgraded, but we already have a lot of decent players there (Griffin, Saleve'a, Killings, Boschetti, and Aki Jones). I'm banking on a LB being our next pick.

If you're talking about Marc Wilson, the draft pick from a couple of years ago, then he's gone. Didn't make the cut. Jim Molinaro was taken with him, and he's still on the roster, but it looks like the coaches aren't too confident with him either. There's also a guy named Jim Jones who's probably a backup at best. (Just don't drink any Kool-aid, if he offers!)

A good argument could still be made to draft for the offensive line. But as it's been said over and over, if there's not an O-lineman worth taking at #53, you can't overreach for it.
