We've been wondering where you've been? You've been pretty quiet lately.
Probably because we haven't had a Ramsey thread in a while.
Unfortunately, here we go yet again.
Ramsey the great... apparently 32 teams around the league are just dead wrong about him. Why don't they see the Montana-esque greatness that lies beneath? A Hall of Fame coach that appears to know a thing or two about evaluating QBs is just dead wrong too, right?

How could you say Brad Johnson, who will be 38 this year, is a top 10 QB. He's not a top 10 QB now, and he definitely won't be by the time Ramsey ever does (if he does)
Sorry, that wasn't my intention to say Johnson is necessarily a top 10 QB. I do think he's pretty good though. I was just making a point that with these QBs currently playing in the league, what in the world makes anyone think Ramsey will be as good as these guys are now?
I don't think Ramsey will ever be as good as Brad Johnson is right now.

To piggy back on MK's post, it is interesting that 32 GM's around the league fail to recognize the the greatness that inspired the legendary NFL coach Steve Spurrier to draft.............oh that's right, Spurrier left in shame as a complete NFL failure.........................maybe the other guys....are correct??? Maybe the burnt out, inept, petty fool that burned down the greatest QB in Redskins history, didn't lead us back to respectability for the first time since his last tenure???????????? maybe not

Man just what I've been waiting for another Ramsey debate. After this can we hop over to the Arrington debate.

Man all this talk about Ramsey made me realize how much I miss him. I don't know I miss the most Ramsey or Arington. Hey, that could be our next poll. Who do you miss the most Lavar or Ramsey and why?

The funny thing about all of this is that it will never go away. If Ramsey craps the bed in NY there will be the 'told you so' crowd and if he lights it up then the 'we never should have gotten rid of him' chorus will chime in.. The only thing that will end the discussion once and for all is Jason Campbell becoming a Super Bowl winning Pro Bowl QB..

Well, other QB castoffs have gone on to have some pretty good careers with other teams:
Brett Favre (Falcons)
Trent Green (Redskins)
Tom Tupa (Cardinals)....oh yeah, but as a punter
Vinny Testaverde (Bucs)
Rich Gannon (Patriots)
Doug Flutie (Rams)
Jeff Rutledge (Rams)
Steve DeBerg (Cowboys)
Ron Jaworski (Rams)
.....Joe Theismann (Dolphins)
Hell, even Doug Williams as good as he was didn't win a SB until he came to Washington.
My point is that lots of QBs given up for dead end up with some pretty good careers after leaving the team that drafted them. I personally don't think the story has been completely written for Ramsey. Let's see.
Oh, and please don't review this list and tell me which draft picks were traded to get the QBs. If they were that important to their original team, they would not have been let go in a trade either. Even Ramsey got a 6th rounder.
One more for the road. Sonny Jurgenson was originally an Eagle for godsakes.
