Is there a position we CAN'T draft early?

We pass on anyone who passes, catches or runs with the ball. We have other needs and those positions we should be ok for the next couple of years. We go with the best player for or needs not the best player on the board.

I agree with all except TE. I'd consider a TE if a great one was available. Fauria is only a temporary solution.

I agree that our TE situation is not long term. Should we have the chance, I'd draft the TE from ND (don't know his name). NFL network did say he had good hands and was a blocking TE. Having said this, I still think we need more depth on OL.

a.)we don't need another rookie qb and I forgot to vote for WR 2 cuz we have no need to even think about drafting here for another 3-4 years.
b.)our defensive line is pretty solid now with more pressing needs @LB, OL, and CB.
c.)and I think we should pass on M's right now despite the AFD debacle and give them another year before we reevaluate where this team is going and decide if a high pick is really needed to upgrade that group when the right walk on could fill in in a pinch ;)

Well, we do not need to chose a QB, WR or RB with our 53rd pick, but I feel that the Skins need to pick either a LB or CB at that position, but if a quality DE or DT falls to the 53rd pick, I would go for it, we have not had a great DE in years and we need one!

There should definitely be some quality LBs around at #53. There's no reason we can't find a potential starter with that pick.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the next starting mod might already be on the roster...

I don't think one injury would hurt us that bad but with the Oline we need to be prepared to play a game or two with 2 missing starters.

I never really like QBs or RBs (or P/Ks :P) in the first round. RBs and QBs can have VERY short careers, whereas other positions (Especially OL/DL/CB) tend to have a better chance of sticking around and being useful.

OTs can also be reaches in the first round (for need) just like QBs...

for us, i also wouldn't consider a WR, cause they aren't that great ones this year and any guy we took would be the #5 at best this year. I wouldn't rule out safety, just in case jared allen or whitner really drops far (both are 4.4 guys and either could be like pearson and play both CB and S depending on the play).

I voted WR because I think that is our deepest position. Personally, I'd have no problem with QB because I've never been sold on Campbell. We could use depth at LB, CB, OL, and DL. Another RB (if a really promising one fell and was a bargain at 53 is always good to have......not sure we can keep Betts around as a backup forever). TE would be a waste at 53.......wouldn't mind adding TE depth in a later round though.

I agree w/whoever said Fauria is a temporary solution. But, it would have to be a great TE at 53 for us to take him, cause we only need a blocking tight end & they tend to be around in later rnds.
LB & CB seem highest to me, but if o or d line players look good, we can always use them. Remember Doc is a fa next year, somebody might throw big $ at him before we can resign him.
If John McCArgo is still there at 53, he's a steal. Some have said he's a potential 1st rnd sleeper but projected to go in the 2nd. btw, he's a DT from NC st.
