This is kind of a cool little story, from the Cincinnati Enquirer:
"Washington coach Joe Gibbs has relinquished the parking space that has always been reserved for the head coach at Redskin Park. He will give the space to a player of the week as a reward."

Gibbs shouldn't bother driving, he has his cot there. What else does he need! ;)

I heard Gibbs isn't going to sleep on the cot anymore.

I see this as more than a "nice story". Remember reading the stories about how Gibbs used to motivate his players by giving them walkmen for solid play or good hits? Apparently, the players were motivated in a big way by these $15 walkmen. The critics were saying, however, that Gibbs wouldn't be able to use such tactics in the post-salary cap era. I have to admit, I wondered what motivational tools he would use since anything costing money would be out the window. Looks like he found a way - How much harder you think these guys are gonna play to be able to put their name and their car where EVERYONE on the team (and front office) sees that they kicked ass? Players are going to do their best to put the hurt on the other team just so they can park in this spot.
Gibbs is f***ing brilliant.

Coach Gibbs seems like a family member to me! I grew up watching him pace the sidelines every Sunday. He's the type of guy that you want to respect even if he wasn't coaching. I'm so glad to have him back!

Great post!
I knew something was coming, but I couldn't figure out what. These players would not have been motivated by a piece of poo machine like they were in the past, this is the perfect motivational tool. I doubt this is all we will see as well. He's got plenty up his sleeves I am sure.
Just like those guiness brothers said: BRILLIANT!

Anyone that has not read his book Racing to Win, Read IT. It talks how he has surrounded himself around good people and the right people. Not just in sports but also in life. After reading his book you can just see how he hired his coaches he has now and how he treats them. Who would ever imagined Buges coming back? Only for Joe Gibbs.
