I' don't think anyone posted this yet but in a bizarre twist of fate the only Bar that is a dedicated 100% to the Redskins during football season in NYC is the site where a bouncer picked up a grad student and later murdered her in brooklyn. He was a known felon out on parole. It is disturbing and I will never go back there. The people there were really nice and I watched every game not nationally televised there. Everyone there was wearing burgundy and gold throwbacks(ie: Olkiewics, Manley, Williams,Butz, Didier, etc...). I saw people walk in with maroon velvet suits and yellow turtle necks. It was a very good time for me being transplanted from DC, but I think this horrible tragedy will keep me away from there.

Horrible story.
But don't stop going there.
Guy is in jail now right?
Horrible, terrible happening.
I think you should continue patronizing the bar. They've seem to have brought you goodtimes and now they probably need you most.

It's disturbing, but I don't think the management is at fault here. If they are, I'll stop going, but as it stands, I think this guy was a seriously bad dude, and misled the bar about that.

It would suck to lose this place--I've lived in NYC for almost 20 years now, and having a place that ONLY has skins on, on all the TVs, with the sound blasting and everyone cheering, is amazing. After all those years of being huddled in the corner with a few other skins fans at various bars, this is way better. But this is serious issue, way beyond watching football.

Wow, that sounds nuts. I've been wanting to come to NYC to visit. Maybe I'll come during the season and watch a game there.

You can't avoid every place where something bad happens. Especially in New York City.

Interestingly enough I grew up in NW and went to college in Baltimore. I feel much safer in NYC then in Baltimore.

DC and Manhattan are a push. I feel a little wary in Brooklyn where I live currently.

Yea and never leave your girlfriend there. No matter how bitchy she might get. If you fallow those 2 simple rules you should be OK.:joke:

In all seriousness though. I think it's pretty scary that management would hires x-cons to bonce there place. Any place that makes you worry more about there security guards then the shifty people in there establishment needs to rethink there hiring practices.

I'm not so sure I would go back unless I knew they at least did back ground checks on there security guards. Any one can get on line and do one. It's really not that hard. You would think most managers & owners would want to make sure they where not hiring rapist and murders to protect there clients.
