PhxRedSkin 04-08-2006, 07:49 AM At first our schedule looks pretty sweet. Dig a little deeper. 1st game we play MNF and then have to travel to Dallas. A short week and then play a div. opponent. I don't like. The rest of the schedule to me is great except, we play @ the Giants off their bye, @ Indy off their bye, and @ Philly off their bye.
This seems familiar anybody know if this has happened to us before?
Does not matter to me, just means that this SB ring will be forever and never forgotten.
Hail Skins!
BrudLee 04-08-2006, 08:09 AM That is pretty tough.
I can't recall any teams in the past even playing three teams coming off their bye week, much less each game being away.
Still, of all the complaints, I'll side with Eagles fans, who get all three divisional opponents, on the road, in a row, in weeks 14, 15, and 16. That sucks a bunch.

well we had 3 division opponents in a row at the end of last year....except two were at home...
amorentz 04-08-2006, 01:33 PM I actually think that the eagles have it wost...4 of their last 6 games on the road, with THREE DIVISION GAMES ON THE ROAD in a row in weeks 14, 15 and 16. Im not thrilled about the Skins playing all those teams off their bye weeks, but I'll take our schedule over the eagles' 10 times out of 10.
BigSKINBauer 04-08-2006, 01:45 PM the thing is the first divisional team on the road is no big deal because everyone has to go away atleast once. It becomes a disadvantage for the eagles when the play the giants but stil two games on the road isn't a huge disadvantage. It really only is a big disadvantage on the last game when they play the cowboys. They really only are at a loss in one game.
We have a CLEAR disadvantage. three teams get 2 weeks to prepare for us. That is two more than average. I think, the techinical term for it is bull shit.

I believe the Chargers had something similar last year . . . they might have even had 4 teams coming off a bye. Obviously they didn't handle it too well. Hopefully the Skins can cope a bit better.
Big C 04-08-2006, 02:38 PM yeah the chargers had to do the same thing last year, and it really hurt them
hooskins 04-08-2006, 04:02 PM yeah the chargers had to do the same thing last year, and it really hurt them
They also lost alot of close games, that were not bc of that.
saden1 04-08-2006, 04:23 PM You can study a team all you want but talent and execution almost always take the bridesmade home. If the Skins do what they are suppose to do in the off season and work on their execution there shouldn't be a problem. Plus, don't we have Al Saunders? Isn't he the guy that doesn't call the same play in a season much less a game? The Skins have already started planning on how to deceive these teams, I am sure.
Beemnseven 04-08-2006, 04:47 PM We also have to remember that teams coming off a bye week aren't necessarily invincible. Some of them are rather rusty. It all comes down to who is best prepared to play and who executes.
