Just in the spirit of livening things up around here and because TAFKAS and I love the 80s, what are some of your favorite games for each system and why?

NES - Blaster Master.
You can't go wrong with a guy that looks like a ghetto spaceman walking around. He also looks like someone you could shift your car with.

Super NES - Donkey Kong Country.
My fiancee and I play that for an hour a day (yes, I wish we were doing OTHER things) but this game is classic.

Genesis - Sonic and Knuckles.
Talk about innovative. A game you could plug another game into and create baby games.

N64 - No Way Out
I spend all my college years playing drinking "No Way Out" with my custom character, "Malcolm Shaft".

PS - Jersey Devil.
Because I kept my porno DVDs in the case

PS2 - SSX3.
I know most everyone loves the sports games, but this is another game that I play after I play Donkey Kong Country with the fiancee. It's while I play THIS game, SHE does other things.

Xbox - Halo.
Not Halo 2, Halo the original. This was the post-college No Way Out when it came to drinking. My custom character was named Vin Diesel.

Arcade - Super Mario Bros./Zookeeper
I remember playing my first video game and it was Super Mario Bros, the ARCADE game. Way harder than the NES version. Also, Zookeeper is the most addicting LSD-fest game I've ever played.

Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES single handedly failed me out of college when it came out, well that and beer.

Madden is forever a classic, love the Zelda series on all the Nintendo systems, Metroid especially Prime, still hooked on Resident Evil 4 for the GC, love me some NBA Street, Burnout 3, NCAA Football '06, Goldeneye for the N64 was clutch, going all the way back to NES days gotta go with RBI Baseball, Super Mario Bros., Mike Tyson's Punch Out, I could go on and on all the way back to Pac-Man, Pitfall, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders and Pong. Can't forget about Combat either for the Atari.

What? No love for the Dreamcast?

I'm just kidding, but I do think the Sonic Adventure games are some of the most underrated games ever made.

Since then, all I do is play sports games.
