With the announcement of the Sunday Flex - it could prove very interesting for the skins if they are competitive towards the end of the year and have a similar schedule to last with 4 NFC East games at the end. Just think, they could play 3 to 4 Sunday night games in a row!

Has the NFL said exactly when the full schedule is coming out?

NFL | League announces plans for Sunday night games
Wed, 5 Apr 2006 05:58:18 -0700
Barry Wilner, of the Associated Press, reports the NFL plans to hold off scheduling Sunday night games in seven of the final eight weeks to ensure the best games are played on NBC. The league has long wanted some kind of flexible scheduling, but could never implement one until now. For Weeks 10-15 and Week 17, the final regular-season weekend, all Sunday games will be listed with start times of 1 p.m. or 4:05-4:15 p.m. EST. The league must then announce which match will be played Sunday night at least 12 days before the date of the game. The only exception is the season finale on Dec. 31, when the switch must be made no later than six days before the game. CBS and FOX each has the option to protect five games in the seven weeks of flexible scheduling, but can't protect more than one game per week. Week 16 is Christmas weekend and no game will be switched. Unlike in the past, teams are allowed to play in consecutive Sunday night games. To make the system more flexible, up to three teams each season will be allowed a bonus sixth prime-time appearance.

Argh. I don't want them to play on too many Sunday nights in a row because I have to drink to keep my heart at a normal pace and I can't be taking all those work days off! :(

I'd love to see the Skins on more Sunday nights, there's a certain comfort I get watching the day games when I know the Skins are on at night. But I'm with Malcolm, alcohol + night games = sick day at work.
I think this is a great move by the league and the networks. Letting me see the Skins and Giants battle for playoff spots in primetime versus forcing another Green Bay-Chicago matchup on me is a win for me and the networks, since they will get more eyeballs now.

Yeah, I mean it'll be bittersweet if it happens. I'll still do my usual drinking and I guess I'll just take vacation days afterwards. I know Gmanc and I talked about it last year, but I think we were actually getting unhealthy from all the heart attacks.

I get all the games so the only way it will effect me is what time I can go to bed. I think its a great chance that you guys who don't get to see all the games to maybe see a couple more a year. Does anyone know what time Sunday night games will be played this year. I don't see why they wait until 8:30 to start in the past why not just have them after the 4:00 games anround 7:30.

Since we'll be one of the best teams, you know most of our games will get moved to late games for TV ratings.
At least this won't start until week 9 or 10.

This might cause a problem for ticket holders, because the time of the game all depends on the teams record. So that means one would have to allocate the entire day(and until about 2am that night) for the time of the game. Just thinking practically, this really disrupts a schedule one might have for that day, bc as much as we love the Skins we have stuff do on Wkends as well. I could see alot of wives getting more upset than they already are. However, I do like the fact that the Skins will get primetime attention.
