Letting me see the Skins and Giants battle for playoff spots in primetime versus forcing another Green Bay-Chicago matchup on me is a win for me and the networks, since they will get more eyeballs now.

Man, you're not kidding. The Bears and Packers haven't had a game that really mattered since, what, the 1950's. Nonetheless, they seem to get a Sunday or Monday night game each season. What a yawner.

I drive from NJ...so these night games take a toll.

I have been contemplating getting Direct TV and Sunday Ticket because I leave here in KY, but if my Skins are good this year, I can just watch them on prime time more often! Life is good!

Get the ticket anyway! Its worth every penny! I have lived outside the market for 15 years now and I don't miss a game!

It isn't as though this hasn't happened before. At least once last year, a 1 pm game was changed to 4:30 to give it a national audience.

Personally, I hope we do so well that the Madden Cruiser spend a lot of time in the FedEx lots.

It happened to us twice last year with Tampa and Dallas...am I the only one who's not all that crazy about opening on Monday night? I mean you get all pumped up and excited for opening day then you have to sit through allll of Sunday watching every team but yours. Then you have to wait all day Monday. I don't know, personally I like to start the season with a Sunday 1pm EST game.

I'd much rather start the season on sunday at 1pm. Monday nights are fun because you're in the national spotlight, but you're right, sitting through all the sunday action, then having to go to work on monday is brutal. At least we're starting at 7pm, that should help ease the stress. Come home, eat dinner, hang out a bit on The Warpath ;) and the game will be on!

Even if I got the Skins every week on TV I'd still go with DirecTV. No more getting stuck with crappy regional coverage when there's a better game on. In NY I get stuck watching the Giants and Jets all the time. There's nothing worse than getting stuck watching the Jets-Bills when there's a big game on like Bengals-Steelers for example. Plus I really love flipping through the games and catching parts of every game. The NFL Sunday Ticket just rules.

Life is good! With direct TV you will also get the NFL Network which is going to have games this year. I have direct TV and have been pretty happy with it. The only time I have trouble is with a heavy ran or snow and thats when I'm inside watching TV but it does take a heavy ran to knock it out.
