Redskins | Team leads in regular season home attendance

KCChiefs.com reports the Washington Redskins led all teams in regular-season home paid attendance for the sixth consecutive year in the 2005 season. The Redskins drew 707,614 for eight home games, the second highest total in NFL history to their 2004 season which drew 707,920.

KCChiefs.com reports the NFL set an attendance record for a fourth consecutive year during the 2005 season. Paid attendance for all 2005 games was 21,792,096, an increase of nearly 84,000 from the 2004 season. The regular season paid attendance of 17,012,453 and the average of 66,455 per game were also all-time records that were set this year.


sorta interesting. The skins averaged 88,481 people per home game this year.

They've had my season ticket money for 44 years.

The Skins have a 90,000 seat stadium and still have 140,000+ names on the waiting list.

or so they say. people tend to move through that list very very quickly though. It could just be a marketting ploy.

we have a deep fan base and very loyal, which helps us have highest attendance...other teams also hav that but we have biggest stadium in league!

i applied for 2 tickets to see how long the list was and i was 244,406. That was last week.

yeah, but i've known people put on as number 180,000 and get tickets within 6 months.

Thats because they are buying into the Tailgate Club, Club Seats or Dream Seats. Those are available pretty quickly. However, they are extremely expensive. For normal, face-value tickets the line is actually years long...

The list works very differently now that Snyder owns the team. He was unhappy with the long waits people had had so they institued policies that to diminish it. Basically now whenever you get a letter with some type of offer for general admission ticks you have to accept or you are removed from the list. They tell you that in the smal small print. There are lots of people now who think they are on the list and aren't really anymore.

Now the list for getting parking passes? That list might be 10 million strong. Or so it seems.
