Lloyd had not been expected to attend the workouts yesterday because, despite being traded March 11 from San Francisco for a third-round draft choice this season and a fourth round choice next year, he does not have the new contract that was part of the trade negotiations that brought him to the Redskins.
He said one of the reasons he attended was his confidence that his representatives and the Redskins will have a deal completed by next week. Under his current deal, which will pay him $1.6 million, Lloyd will be eligible for free agency after the 2006 season.

I hope this is a sign of things to come with Llyod. Granted, its just workouts, but I still like the fact that he's starting to bond with his new teammates. To me, this shows good character on his part to really trust the organization even though he just joined.

It shows a good faith effort on his part by showing up without a new deal in hand. He's off to a good start.

I was hugely impressed by an interview I heard with Lloyd on Sirrius. This is even better. How many players in this day and age show up till their contract is finished. I love it!

I agree, remember last year how many people were mad at Moss because he was not at Redskins Park working out? Now that I think about it, some of us need to say they are sorry to Mr. Moss after that record breaking year that he had for us last season...

No one owes Moss an apology. Just because you had a great season doesn't make up for missing workouts! Players, especially first year players, only get working quicker because of workouts!

ST doesn't have anything to apologize for just yet. Yeah he's been in some trouble but it hasn't hurt him on the field. The spitting incident is the only thing that has hurt him on the field.
