Update: Alstott underwent minor surgery earlier this week to remove bone chips in his left elbow, the St. Petersburg Times reports.
Recommendation: Alstott disclosed the surgery when he showed up to throw out the first ball at Saturday's Devil Rays-Yankees spring game with his left arm bandaged. Surgery had to have happened in the last week, since Alstott was able to take part in a home-run hitting contest for charity on March 19. This isn't expected to limit Alstott once training camp opens in July.
