Redskins | Team still under the salary cap

David Elfin (http://www.kffl.com/link/177), of the Washington Times (http://www.kffl.com/link/144), reports after numerous signings and contract changes, the Washington Redskins (http://www.kffl.com/team/37/nfl)' salary cap number is at $97.574 million, leaving $4.426 million to spend on signing their draft picks and filling other needs.

so if we want to sign lloyd (1.5-2mill), 3 backups and a #2 with some low picks, someone is probably going to have to restructure.



K Wright is 6'1" and a good tackling CB. not a blazer, but he'd be a good #3.

Lloyd is already signed for this year... they're trying to sign him to an extension.

The problem with Walt Harris wasn't tackling, it was with pass coverage.

thats what i meant. I doubt they're going to leave him on a one year deal though unless they REALLY have questions about his character (and if they did, why give up draft picks for him?)

The Skins don't need much money for draft picks. They will need to spend some on their #2, but then they jump to 4's 5's and 6 round picks. Some of those late round picks won't make the team anyway. They are in good shape. I would think they are looking at how they can keep costs down on what will be back-ups at this point.

no problem ;) they're in the FA thread, but i figure people don't read those, so redskin stuff should get a bit more attention.
