Larry Allen: Should we sign him

It depends on how much he money he is going to want. My kneejerk reaction would be to say yes and let Dockery be the depth for us. However, Larry Allen isn't getting any younger and I don't think there's any way you can convince a guy like him to come in and be a back up. Dockery's young and is improving. I don't know if bringing Larry Allen would help Dockery or hurt him. Allen is an experienced vet who is great when he's healthy, however, he'll probably be too rich for us and I don't know that we necessarily need a starter.

haha he might be injured, overpaid, and overwieght but he benches more than u can even think of and is a solid vet and been to the probowl consistintly.....but he is a excowboy

you gotta be careful when your "critical backups" are high injury risks... and the older they get, the harder it is to heal quickly.

He benches like 700lbs, and the plus side is he could probably eat the opponents, I am sure thats some kind of penalty tho....
