With JG handing over the keys on offense to Al Saunders, and with the addition of wideouts, what do you peeps think Clinton can come up with numbers wise, and how many over 20 yd carries do you think he'll come up with? My Guess is if Mark Brunell can shine again this year (I know, it is still a question mark), CP may have the chance to explode in this system. He will not be as banged up, but may have the opportunity to gain more yards/big plays.... holla at me, just not in a bad way.. jj

You better believe Clinton's gonna be seeing the easiest running since hes been a Redskin. No teams will stack the box at all during the whole season, there's no way he won't break out. Look at James in Indianapolis.. Portis managed 1500+ yards last season, and he carried the team on his back the second half of the season facing 8 and 9 men in the box. It's a guarantee.

Portis will go for 2200 yards .... he will be fresher for the playoffs because teams won't be able to key in on him as much...watch out for my man cooley; no one is talking about him now with all the new additions...hopefully other defenses won't notice him and he will kill them softly!

Alright then.. how about some numbers.... I have enough Hen in me to put predictions down before spring..... CP- 1623 yds, 17 tds (Al throws to his backs alot).... Rushes over 20 yds---11/// how does that sound?

Saunders' scheme is going to be adapted a bit to fit what the Skins do best. I don't think Portis is going to be the recipient of that many passes, I think Cooley will still play HB and catch the passes in that role.

Portis will run for 1600, but on fewer carries. I'm thinking 4.5 yards per carry.

Moss duplicates last year's production. Cooley duplicates last year's production. Randle El puts up 700 yards receiving, and Lloyd puts up 600. All in all, that should make for a top 10 offense.

Pair that with a sure-fire top-10 defense, with an improved turnover margin, and I think you're looking at 11-5 or better.

i agree w/ cooley... i was really referring to the amount of touchdowns CP would have due to the passes he'd actually recieve...272 carries!!!

He was at about what? 4.3 ish w/ abt 352 carries... lets say that w/ my stats 5.9 is a bit high (but dont doubt Gainesville, Clinton Portis).... so maybe lets settle with approx 4.78// thats a drop in total yds, but should resort in more wins, and healthier gut for the long haul

I think Portis' number will not change much, but he will become more involved in the passing game.
