Bob Thomas, of the Florida Times-Union (http://www.kffl.com/link/10), reports Florida State DL Kamerion Wimbley (http://www.kffl.com/player/13750/nfl) might fit into the Jacksonville Jaguars (http://www.kffl.com/team/20/nfl)' plans. Wimbley is projected by many NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl) teams to switch to outside linebacker. He might be available when the Jaguars (http://www.kffl.com/team/20/nfl) pick with the No. 28 overall selection in the 2006 NFL Draft (http://www.kffl.com/link/159). Wimbley could fill in for free agent LB Akin Ayodele (http://www.kffl.com/player/5736/nfl), who signed with the Dallas Cowboys (http://www.kffl.com/team/14/nfl).
That Guy 03-18-2006, 02:05 PM Browns | Watching a trio from Florida State
Sat, 18 Mar 2006 07:37:04 -0800
Steve Doerschuk, of the Canton Repository, reports the Cleveland Browns (http://www.kffl.com/team/13/nfl) had a contingent at Florida State's Pro Day keeping an eye on DT Brodrick Bunkley (http://www.kffl.com/player/13739/nfl), DE Kamerion Wimbley (http://www.kffl.com/player/13750/nfl) and LB Ernie Sims (http://www.kffl.com/player/13417/nfl) Jr. All three are expected to be first-round picks, but two questions remain: Are any worthy of being selected at No. 12 and if the Browns (http://www.kffl.com/team/13/nfl) trade down, how low can they go and still have one of the three available to them?
That Guy 03-18-2006, 02:06 PM figured a single thread would be better than spamming the board.
if you're interested in who other teams are looking at, hopefully there will be some info here.
most articles don't bother with draftees below the 2nd round though :(

John O'Connor, of the Times-Dispatch, reports the Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.kffl.com/team/30/nfl) have invited NCAA (http://www.kffl.com/team/78/nfl) basketball C Jai Lewis (http://www.kffl.com/player/14238/nfl), of George Mason, to visit with them after the NCAA (http://www.kffl.com/team/78/nfl) basketball tournament is over. There may also be other NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl) teams that want to take a first-hand look at the 6-7 275-pounder. Lewis last played football as a tight end and defensive end at Aberdeen (Md.) High School. But his size and athleticism intrigues NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl) scouts, who see some TE Antonio Gates (http://www.kffl.com/player/7570/nfl) (Chargers) in Lewis. A Steelers (http://www.kffl.com/team/30/nfl) scout watched Lewis play in the Colonial Athletic Association tournament earlier this month at the Richmond Coliseum and left impressed by Lewis' dimensions, coordination and mobility. "I'd love to play football, and the NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl) is always trying to find athletes," said Lewis.
Wonder if they're trying him at TE or DE? since he's local, he might be a good guy to look at.

That Guy 03-19-2006, 04:03 PM 6'7" 275 with move is going to attract attention... How fast could be possibly be with all that weight though? probably has great change of direction to make up for it.
