Ramsey to the Jetssaden1 03-18-2006, 01:27 PM Ramsey, we hardly knew you. Say hello to Coles. Longtimefan 03-19-2006, 12:35 PM Controversy? How can there be a controversy? Collins is clearly superior to Brunell! The stats don't lie. Collins has thrown just 19 interceptions in 11 seasons while Brunell, that turnover machine, has been picked 102 times in 12. How many games has Collins started in his 11 seasons? How many passes has Collins thrown in that same time spand compared to Brunell? That Guy 03-19-2006, 01:22 PM How many games has Collins started in his 11 seasons? How many passes has Collins thrown in that same time spand compared to Brunell? it was a joke, flying by ;) GTripp0012 03-19-2006, 01:55 PM Good luck to Patrick, he will be successful in the NFL somewhere...just not New York. So if he was traded before the deadline last year, what would have happened when Brunell got hurt in the Giants game? Could you really say that the Skins would have won with Campbell and made the playoffs? I don't know, but I'm glad they had him. And yes, a 6th rounder is a total rip, but as I see it, its better than the nothing they would have gotten from cutting him to free the cap space anyway. paulskinsfan 03-20-2006, 09:51 AM Good luck to Patrick, he will be successful in the NFL somewhere...just not New York. Actually, I think a 6th rounder may be in the end worse than nothing. With a 6th rounder you have to give them at least SOME money when they sign, and lets face it, they aren't gonna make the team. PWNED 03-20-2006, 10:27 AM im not so sure paul. sometimes there are gems to be had. its a crapshoot, however wouldnt the payoff be WAY greater if we were to find a gem. cooley was a 3rd round pick and we see how he turned out. granted 3rd is WAY better than 6th, but still. MTK 03-20-2006, 10:40 AM We could probably package some of those later round picks to move up a bit. A 6th rounder isn't a complete waste. What did people realistically expect when the Vikes only got a 2nd rounder for Culpepper?? Obviously the demand around the league for an inconsistent/unproven QB isn't that high, especially in a flooded QB market. paulskinsfan 03-20-2006, 10:43 AM I hear you guys on the "Tom Brady" issue, but lets be honest here, our draft evaluations haven't been exactly "stellar" in the mid to late rounds. This perplexes me, b/c Gibbs is so quick to address a problem. How can anyone look at our draft performance in the mid to late rounds the past several years and not see a problem? I mean at some point don't we question the scouting team? firstdown 03-20-2006, 10:43 AM Controversy? How can there be a controversy? Collins is clearly superior to Brunell! The stats don't lie.
