He'll be in on nickel/passing situations and I think opposing quarterbacks will be more likely to challenge him than Smoot or Springs offiss 05-04-2004, 05:19 PM I am going with taylor, I think team's are going to make him prove himself early on, he could have a lot of opportunities for INT's this season. SKINSnCANES 05-04-2004, 05:27 PM Id say Taylor, then Springs. If Springs stays healthy hes a great corner. But getting picks is what Taylor does. SkinsRock 05-04-2004, 05:32 PM I'd say Taylor, since he is said to be such a ball-hawk. #2 will will probably be Smoot, but if he really steps up and people start throwing away from him, Springs may get more....or vice versa... Daseal 05-04-2004, 06:43 PM Taylor is our INT guy. Smoot will get some, but that's not going to be his primary concern like I think it will be for Taylor. I think either way William's schemes will cause quite a few turnovers. I bet Taylor get's 8 this season! offiss 05-04-2004, 07:03 PM Taylor is our INT guy. I bet Taylor get's 8 this season! Good observation, I think the way William's will disrupt and confuse QB's we will see a lot of INT's. I would like to see taylor lead the league in INT's, I think he will have a good chance to do so, even as a rookie. joecrisp 05-04-2004, 07:30 PM I'd say Taylor, since he is said to be such a ball-hawk. #2 will will probably be Smoot, but if he really steps up and people start throwing away from him, Springs may get more....or vice versa... I think that's a good assessment. Smoot and Springs will be working in a lot of man coverage, with Taylor working the Cover 1 zone over the top in a lot of situations, which should provide him a lot of opportunities to play instinctively and ballhawk. With his range and coverage skills, I see Taylor getting plenty of picks. I also think it will be interesting to see which of the two corners, Smoot or Springs, gets more passes coming his direction. I'm really liking this secondary. |
