"Joe Bendel, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, reports the Washington Redskins might have interest in restricted free agent CB Ike Taylor (Steelers). The Steelers offered Taylor a $1.55 million tender, meaning any team that signs him would have to give a first-round draft choice as compensation if the Steelers let him go."
I do not really understand what the first-round compensation means, but is Ike Taylor even worth that much???
I'm going to guess first round compensation means a first round draft pick.

It does indeed mean that.
I don't see us signing this guy.

From what I recall he isn't even that good, I think what they are asking for is way too much for him.
How good is he? We are a little short of available first rounders right now, and a first round pick is some weight!

I dont even see how that can be. We dont have a 1st rounder this year, they could take next years, but I just dont think he is worth that. We could draft a DB in the second round, he may not play this year, but I dont like using 1st round picks on DBs, unless they are truely studs, Bailey, Rodgers ect. You can get decent, hell pretty good DBs in the 2nd round.

Dear God I hope there's nothing to this. A first rounder?.......for Ike Taylor?
Maybe they're just planning on ST being found guilty and they don't want all of their #21 "Taylor" jerseys going to waste. If we do this, I'm blaming the equipment manager.
It does indeed mean that.

phew, I took a shot in the dark, can't believe I got it right, ;)

i dont see it happening but it could be the same situation as lloyd. he too was a restricted free agent and would have required a first round pick if we signed him.
