Is this really a promotion ? This seems to be more of a job title change ( and possibly pay rate increase) to me. But anyways, it seems that the Bucs are trying to do something similar to what the redskins are doing with the coaching staff as far as roles and titles. It's a copycat league and at least one team out there is somewhat confirming the success of the redskins coaching structure. If nothing else, these moves serve the purpose attempting to keep coaches they deem valuable. Yeah i was thinking that but the article reads "the special teams coach" and not "a specials teams coach". Probably just getting caught up in semantics, but it's not that important to me anyway - just something that I thought was interesting.
