If you read the description, this is a forum for football talk in general. I like to know what other teams are doing. If not, we're just as ignorant as the people we bash for not understanding our team.

I guess. But I don't bash a soul for not knowing who our strength and conditioning, or quality control coaches are.

Buccaneers | Bisaccia promoted
Wed, 15 Mar 2006 23:09:12 -0800

Buccaneers.com reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (http://www.kffl.com/team/35/nfl) have promoted Rich Bisaccia (http://www.kffl.com/player/14223/nfl), formerly the special teams coach, to special teams coordinator.

Is this really a promotion ? This seems to be more of a job title change ( and possibly pay rate increase) to me.

But anyways, it seems that the Bucs are trying to do something similar to what the redskins are doing with the coaching staff as far as roles and titles. It's a copycat league and at least one team out there is somewhat confirming the success of the redskins coaching structure. If nothing else, these moves serve the purpose attempting to keep coaches they deem valuable.

a special teams coach works with special teams in some manner... the coordinator oversees everything related to special teams... like moving from department manager to store manager i guess.

none of these are major or all that important, it was just a massive overnight change ;)

Yeah i was thinking that but the article reads "the special teams coach" and not "a specials teams coach". Probably just getting caught up in semantics, but it's not that important to me anyway - just something that I thought was interesting.

Aren't these sort of title changes done to keep other teams from getting at your coaches? Danny did that in the past...

Another sign that Danny is cutting edge--everyone wants to be like him!

PS Whenever my boss changes my title, I get less money...:(
