I think the main reason for Ramsey not being traded yet is teams simply aren't willing to give us very much for him.
The Jets reportedly won't go any higher than a 6th rounder. The Skins are holding out for a 4th or better. Probably isn't going to happen though at this point. There are simply too many other quality QBs on the market this year and the demand for an inconsistent young QB isn't very high.
Hopefully we'll hold on to him as long as possible to see if someone gets desperate enough at some point. It would really suck to see him released.

You gotta think that once we signed Collins, the offers got lighter, because of the QB glut.

Collins SB is next to nothing. Also, if you want to get a QB you better do it as soon as possible. Getting a QB after June means he won't be prepared in time.

Sounds like the offers were already light prior to Collins' signing.

it doesn't help when he turns down some of the teams making offers.

Yep. Two years ago AJ Feeley was worthy of a 2nd round pick. This year, that very same team was willing to give the same compensation for a proven pro-bowler in Culpepper.
Given that change in the market value of QBs, I'd be happy with a 7th rounder for Ramsey. I just wished we acted a bit sooner and traded him a few months back before it was known that Brees and Culpepper would be available. Maybe then we could have gotten a 4th rounder. But the CBA uncertainty kind of made it impossible to make a move at that point, so I'm not sure there was anything the front office could do.
Just take what we can get for Ramsey and move on, even if it's a 7th rounder.

He's gotta do what's best for him too, I don't think he's too interested in going somewhere unless he has a realistic chance to be the starter.

well, C palmer is a bit of a cripple right now, so he'd probably get some game to at leat showcase himself there, and the offensive talent would make him look good. CJ can adjust to balls like moss, but he's bigger and more of a jumper as well.

That would obviously be a very short term situation for him. Assuming Palmer comes back healthy Ramsey would go right back to the bench. Not a really desirable situation.

We've lost what bargaining power we had, now that we have 4 QB's on the roster. Teams will wait till we release him or get him for next to nothing.
