It wouldn't be suprising if they didn't, i could see them taking A.J. Hawk, or someone else to shore up their defense.

Buccaneers | Team remains interested in S. Wallace
Wed, 29 Mar 2006 06:01:52 -0800

The St. Petersburg Times reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Bruce Allen said the team remains interested in restricted free agent QB Seneca Wallace (Seahawks). Wallace visited Tampa last week and the team's interest in the versatile quarterback likely grew after QB Brian Griese's departure to Chicago. "We haven't moved on," Allen said. "He was an interesting prospect and we didn't have a lot of information on him. We wanted to meet him and understand a little bit more what Seattle's been doing (with him) on offense." As noted earlier, the Seahawks are planning to retain Wallace and they are trying to sign him long-term.

The St. Petersburg Times reports Seattle Seahawks president of football operations Tim Ruskell said the team is currently negotiating a contract extension with restricted free agent QB Seneca Wallace. Ruskell sounded as though the Seahawks have no intention of letting Wallace get away. Wallace's agent, Donald Yee, said: "The period for restricted free agents to find other opportunities has not expired yet. We're still exploring some things."
