His strength is blocking and he will catch those balls that Royal dropped. Cooley and Fauria are completely different.

Yea, he had only 8 catches last year (57 yds). He would basically be another lineman and redzone threat (hopefully). Downside is he is 34 years old.

he only had 8 catches cause he was the #3 on a two TE team.
he's a great all around TE, but he's old. however i'd love to have him for a year or two. he might be better than campbell for a year, but obviously campbell would be a much longer term solution.

ASHBURN, VA – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed tight end Christian Fauria. Terms of contract were not disclosed. Fauria is an experienced veteran that will add immediate depth to the Redskins offense.

Fauria, 6-4, 250 lbs., has played in 167 games with 119 starts during his 11-year NFL career. During that time span he has recorded 245 receptions for 2,473 yards and 20 touchdowns. He spent the previous four seasons with the New England Patriots, where he was a member of the Super Bowl XXXVIII and XXXIX championship teams.

Prior to joining the Patriots, he spent seven seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. Fauria played in all 16 games (starting 10) in 2005 finishing the year with eight catches for 57 yards and two touchdowns.

Fauria began his NFL career as a second round (39th overall) selection by the Seattle Seahawks in the 1995 NFL Draft. As a rookie he played in 14 games, with 12 starts, and caught 17 passes for 181 yards and one touchdown.

Fauria played at the University of Colorado where he finished his career with 98 catches for 1,058 yards and 12 touchdowns. The 98 catches ranked him fourth all-time in school history while the 1,058 yards ranked him ninth all-time. He was named first-team all Big 8 and third-team All-American as a senior. Fauria is a native of Northridge, California where he attended Crespi High School.

Yeah where did you see this...and I realize we have about 10 mil more in cap space, but we are signing alot of big names, is anyone else worried?

only a DE left. collin fauria are cheap and a #3 CB isn't that expenive either. We won't be getting a big name LB and probably will go OL in the draft.
