I think we cant just put Lloyd over Patten just yet. I think the line up is Moss,R-EL,Patten with Lloyd as the 4th receiver. Lloyd is under a previous contract and HE may not like the situation and decide to bounce when the contract is up. He was just added insurance. Patten is exceptional in 3 wide receiver sets, Lloyd may not like going from 9ers #1 to Superbowl bound Redskin #4

whenever a guy gets traded he gets a new contract. happened with portis, happened with moss. we gave up 2 picks, there's no way he's not getting locked into a 6 or 7 year deal.

talent wise its moss, lloyd (whos the only leaper/jump ball guy), and patten/Randle (patten might be a better receiver, but R'El might help more with reverses and fakes and such).

Lloyd will definitely be the #3 at least, possibly the #2.

I think there will be a good competition for the #2 between Lloyd and Randle El.

Patten will be on the outside looking in, picking up whatever scraps are left behind.

Either way or whatever happens, I like our "New" stable of speedster WR's...

We are making a 2006 version of the triplets. Randel El will also return punts. The skins are going to cause opposing defenses nightmares~they will have so many different looks it will be hard to pinpoint how to stop them. Patten stays, jacobs is gone

No way. Lloyd was a number one. R-El was second on the depth chart but at the end of the season was their third option and designated trick play guy.

Lloyd is the #2. No question about it.

I think it is possible that Patten could end up third with R-El fourth. It is a nice problem to have.

From the WP:

During his two days in Washington, Randle El was told that he was being sought for the number two wide receiver spot, according to a source, and he told the team that he wants to return kicks, particularly punts.

Of course it's too early to tell how it will shake out, Lloyd was the #1 in San Fran but that really isn't saying much.

You guys are disagreeing over an unknown. Nobody knows where they will be on the depth chart on openning day. The only sure thing is Moss at #1 WR, everything else is up for grabs. Gibbs is big on competition at camp. Lloyd and El are not going to be just handed starting jobs, they have to earn them in camp and preseason.
Ask Sean Taylor, TAylor is a higher rated player then any of our receivers and it took Taylor a month to earn starting status.

Patten actually was the Pats' #2 WR before he cam here.

No he wasn't he was the # 3 or 4. Branch was 1 and Givens was two.
