campbell will be the best pick up of them all. he is a good blocker and shows great leadership. he was the cowboys captian last year and he can make a catch unlike the new ten million dollar man royal.

guess that means are chances are slim there.

i dont know about that..the lions and jets are pretty set at TE ..marcus pollard and doug jolley / chris baker respectively. i dont see them making a big play for campbell unless they are really desiring his blocking skills on two tight end sets

Any draftees (other that Vernon Davis) better than all or any of these guys?

i think chris baker is a FA of some sort...

at blocking? probably not out of the gate (very few TEs in college now come out as amazing blockers, unlike years and years ago). Usually you get undrafted and althletic undersized tackles if you want blocking TEs.

as all around or pass cathing threat? probably the top 6 TEs. (davis, pope, lewis, byrd, klop, fasano). with tim day being about equal.

Pope, klop, davis, and day should end up as the best blockers. pope (6'7.8") is probably the best right now. the rest have the frame and strength to become great blockers with practice.

christian fauria (34) was actually at redskin park yesterday. thats a good sign, he'd be a great add at blocking TE (for the short term). campbell would be better cause of his age, but this guy is better than the 26 year olds we were looking at.

Campbell much better blocker and we need that! Cooley can catch the passes we need out of the TE spot. Was it Fauria the only TE at Redskin Park this weekend?

yeah, fauria was the only other FA seen there besides the big 4. fauria can block fine, the only downside i age, and that's why is think campbell would be better there.
