Len Pasquarelli (http://www.kffl.com/link/17), of ESPN.com (http://www.kffl.com/link/9), reports the Cleveland Browns (http://www.kffl.com/team/13/nfl) have agreed in principle to a contract with free agent OT Kevin Shaffer (http://www.kffl.com/player/6479/nfl) (Falcons). While details need to be worked out on Shaffer's contract, it will be a seven-year deal worth more than $5 million a year.

The agreed with him and Bentley.
EDIT: Sorry, didn't see the other links and talk about Bentley. However, this article still applies to this thread.

Browns aren't playing around. They are doing it the right way. Starting with the 0-Line.

they're really paying out a ton of money. generally drafting OL is a much better way to go (better price, they work together in your system and can stick around longer).
though if you OL sucks and you want to be better now, you gotta pay.

If the Browns get healthy they'll be a good team offensively with Edwards, Frye (even though hes still developing), Rebuen Droughns, JJ, Winslow, Bently, and Schaffer.
