Same as what Koren Robinson got right? With the new CBA rules is a $10 million SB whopping? Honestly I don't know. What did Harrison get, $13.5?

I have no clue whether the $10 million is "whopping" (as I put it earlier). But, at least under the old CBA $10 million is big, big money. I don't know the details of K. Robinson's or Harrison's contracts. I know that Reggie Wayne got about $13 million.

Maybe they see a lot in Lloyd. Maybe Lloyd will be the next Santana Moss. It just seems like a lot of dough.

I'd agree with that. I know the Skins need to add some depth, but there aren't a whole lot of players who will be available in those rounds who will have the same type of impact that Brandon Lloyd would have in his first season with us. Also, he's still a young player, but I thought he had some character issues.

he obviously does if the 49ers are so willing to part with him and he was secretly working on trades.

John Clayton is saying we're expected to give him a whopping $10 million SB.

how long is the deal? whether thats a lot on not really depends on contract length.

I'm not really thrilled with our picks in FA so far. R'el is quality (i was just worried about price). I don't like AA (expense and can't cover), and i'm worried about lloyd (he has talent, but high cost to get him, possible character issues, etc). I don't know jack about andre so i'll assume GW thinks he's the answer we need.

I'm surprised we didn't make a play on a DT or true DE yet. I guess they figure on drafting them. if we give up our 3rd then we probably need to get a CB or trade into the 4th, draft OL late, and sign a TE.

Per NFL network Adam Schefter (http://www.nfl.com/writers/schefter)

Washington and San Francisco are nearing a deal that would send a 2006 third-round pick and a 2007 fourth-round selection to the 49ers for wide receiver Brandon Lloyd (http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/396021). Pending a physical, the deal should be completed before the end of the weekend.

2 draft picks for Lloyd seems a bit much. I think 1 would be plenty. I mean he hasn't done all that much in san fran to recieve 2 draft picks regardless if they are low picks or not.

I know he is listed as an OLB as of late and that's because he was playing in the 3-4. This could also be the reason his stats fell off after making the pro bowl earlier in his career playing in the 4-3. Think Kenard Lang but, drafted in the first round. Kenard absolutely sucked as OLB in the 3-4. And his Madden '06 attributes showed.

Yeah, he does, but to be completely honest, I think I would have "character issues" if I played for the sorry no account Niners, too. I mean, come on, they barely looked like they were trying to win last year. I'd be pretty pissed too. I know that there are plenty of guys who just shut up and play, I'm not saying it's okay to be a prick, but I think a change of scenery may be the answer for Lloyd. Plus, I have faith that Gibbs could rein this kid in.

I knew Synder was going to pull the unexpected. Hell while we were looking at Howard and Givens Synder was looking at Carter and Lloyd.
