Archuleta is listed as 6-0, 223 pounds.
Clark is listed as 5-11, 205.
Archuleta's upside is still pretty significant, especially in a GW defense. Clark is a classic overachiever and we've probably already seen what he's capable of.
If GW wants Archuleta, that's all I need to know.
RedskinPete 03-13-2006, 11:25 AM I thought he[Clark] had a great season. There has to be something the Redskins and GW thinks he dosen't bring to the table. Is it cost or his play? I would love to have him back at the right price and throw in Chris Hope! But that is me because I really think Taylor will not be here in 06.
shallyshal 03-13-2006, 11:27 AM Just curious to see if anyone has heard an update on whether or not we're gonna get him back or let him go.
he will be gone... elfin of the times quoted him this morning.. sounds bitter. he is moving on..

Hear hear, Imagine if that blitzing safety could also stop the run. I hope we can resign Clark, but GW knows what hes doing. If he wants a cross-eyed safety then so be it.

totally agree. the upside of clark is that he is a disciplined player. tackles well. has decent hands and some coverage skills. gets swallowed up onthe blitz. he was undrafted.
arch was a first rounder and hits like a ton. his advantage is that he won't
get hung up while blitzing as he has a former linebacker's skill set. more like bowen inthat regards. the negative has been his lack of turnover production at safety.
as you say, if williams wants him, that is enough for me..

taylor will be here in 2006... the lawyers will see to it.. as for clark, he made himself into a decent payer. probably worthy of being in rotation. but he has limitations due to size. i think he is similar to prioleau, whom we already have. he will land somewhere, but like ohalete or shade before him, nobody is gonna confuse him with an all pro

Your know what your so right. I would much rather have Ryan Leaf or Rick Mirer over Jake Dellomme because he was an undrafted player.

RedskinPete 03-13-2006, 11:43 AM I feel for Clark....He said that the Redskins didn't wanted him even with his great play. He said he love playing for the fans and was at home in Washington. He said he will miss being a Redskin! GOOD LUCK MR CLARK!!!

Yeah, but come on now...Arch has already shown he can play over the last 5 years with the Rams and is a top rated safety. Its not fair to compare him to Leaf or Mirer...
