ESPN's Clayton is still saying that the Jets' offered of a 7th round choice for Ramsey but the Skins wanted a fourth.

Abraham was last reported visiting Seattle. Atlanta is a possible landing place for him but the Jets want Shaub and Atlanta needs him.

When Culpepper can start is unknown. Miami reportedly is working only on Daunte's description of his progress.

I think Ramsey is willing to go anywhere for the final year of his contract, but he's not going to sign an extension unless it's someplace where he has a chance to start and be successful. And, without that extension, his trade value is minimal. But Miami could use him as Daunte insurance for a year.

From the ES site...

David Elfin of the Washington Times today reported Skins involved in trade talks with Jets last night. Patrick to the Jets for a sixth plus a future (no number mentioned).

ESPN's Clayton Wed. 3/15

With the Redskins stalled in trade talks with the Jets over quarterback Patrick Ramsey (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5918), they have given Ramsey permission to visit the Bucs. Ramsey lost two teams interested in him Tuesday when the Lions signed Jon Kitna (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=4157) and the Dolphins traded for Daunte Culpepper (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=4659). The Bucs are looking to replace Brian Griese (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=4322) and are considering Ramsey if the trade price is right. The Redskins are asking for a fourth-round pick. The Jets offered a seventh. With most of their moves done in free agency, the Redskins have invested most of their time trying to find a team interested in giving them value for Ramsey.

Gibbs should hold onto Ramsey and trade him during the draft. Teams may warm up to a deal and offer more then.

If Favre does retire, should the Packers be considered an option? Or are they just going to put all their focus and energy into Rogers?

And there's talk that the Lions may let Harrington go before his bonus is due in June. That could open the Detroit door again for Ramsey

if the lions get kitna and mccown, i'm not sure they'd spend a draft pick on ramsey.

Kitna is signed for four years.

Since he didn't visit them. I don't think Ramsey was interested in going there.

Mike Martz has his hands full. The receivers are not the precise route runners he likes and he has to build the O line.

The Bucs might work for Ramsey. Chris Simms doesn't look like a lock and he's only signed for one year.

Maybe someone can answer this question.

I can't figure out why the Redskins don't give Jimmy Sexton permission to contact all the teams P. Ramsey might be interested in...with the exception of our NFC East rivals.

If reports are correct, he was given permission to contact only Miami, Detroit, and the Jets. Now Clayton says he's been given permission to visit the Bucs. Why restrict him to those teams?

There must be a good reason but I haven't figured it out. Can you?

the team has to ask the skins first. ramsey is the one that said no to cinncy.

the packers would probably look at mccown first if farve says no and he still hasn't signed.
