D.C. lobbying players: The Redskins came out swinging. They made contact after midnight Friday with 49ers defensive end Andre Carter (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5454), Rams safety Adam Archuleta (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5467), Chiefs quarterback Todd Collins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=3116) and Steelers receiver Antwaan Randle El (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5948) and have them flying in as early as Saturday.

Would love to have Carter here
Not a big Archuleta fan really (any word on Clark by the way?)
Hopefully Collins never sees the playing field for a real game
I'd test the WR market a bit more before committing to Randle-el. Unless we're signing two WRs, which I think may happen actually

I'd be happy with that list. Of course, we'll add depth at CB, TE, OL, and OLB. But that sounds like a reasonable group (assuming Randle El doesn't want a Brinks truck worth of cash).

i think randel el will want too much money. I think i rather have brandon lloyd. and i still do not understand why we would want archuletta when we have clark and taylor. if taylor goes to jail or clark doesnt resign then its different. dont know much about carter. Collins should come cheap and he knows Saunders' system.

Matty...did all the stuff that WAS there on Clayton's blog just go away all of sudden? I went and refreshed and it was all gone.

archuleta will be 29 this year, id rather just keep ryan clark if at all possible. i thought archuleta was younger than that. carter would be nice, but he is somewhat injury prone i believe. im not really sold on lloyd, he really hasnt done all that much, yes hes had very impressive catches, but he hasnt put up big numbers yet, and i understand that he was on 49ers crappy qbs and such...just hasnt proven hes worth good money

Archulleta has had back problemss the last 2 years. If he could stay healthy him and Sean T would be hurtin people. He is suspect at defending the pass though.

if you think R'EL is expensive, lloyd is doubly so (1st round pick? yikes).
I don't know what carter is going to do... we tendered clemons, and that seems to be his role. his numbers aren't great, though he did have a monster 12 sack season.
I doubt we sign two WRs in FA. we might still draft one though. if R'El comes here, he's the KR/PR (he specificly said WANTS to do it) and the #2/#3 (he put up the same numbers in both roles).
collins a lot of us expected, he's not really very important. If we do get R'El, collins probably ends up as #4 on the depth chart ;)
looks like the skins are taking a bunch of 2nd tier guys this time. I think AA is wasted money though.

Not sure what people see in Archuleta.

Wow, I didn't realize Archuleta was that old. He's not ancient, but he's not exactly young.
