The argument will be is he ready to start. Some QB's wait and are good, some start right away and are good.

My impression of Joe Gibbs is he will let a young guy take the controls. Look at his race team as an extreme example and 2 of the three drivers are rookies and they are tarring up the field.

Jason Campbell is a very gifted player with great size and strength. My "guess" is the Coach will tell all QB's in camp it's up for grabs and which ever does better will start.

I say Jason Campbell #17 will be starting at the seasons open.

Poll?

Jason will start 1st week?
Start by week 4?
End the season as starter?
Not be a factor?

Yeah, I'm just buggin and waiting on the season to start at midnight.

Hail Skins!

Only If Brunell Goes Down In The Preseason. MAYBE AT THE END OF THE SEASON IF BRUNELL REPEATS TWO YEARS AGO OR HAS AN INJURY. IF CAMPBELL PLAYS GREAT AND BRUNELL IS READY TO COME BACK I THINK IT WOULD BE A WASTE OF TALENT TO BENCH CAMPBELL. ONCE CAMPBELL GETS IN AND PROVES HE IS OUR QB OF THE FUTURE THERE SHOULD BE NO TURNING BACK NO MATTER IF BRUNELL WAS HAVING A GREAT YEAR OR NOT. I'M CURIOUS TO SEE HOW THIS ALL WILL PAN OUT. CAN'T KEEP THE GUY HOLDING THE PLAYBOOK AND WARMING THE BENCH FOREVER.

Only If Brunell Goes Down In The Preseason

That is the only way unless Burnell just loses it! Then if Ramsey is goen to the jet and we didn't get a vet Campbell will learn by fire!!!!!!!

Anybody Think Playing Campbell Would Be Worth Maybe Taking A Potential Step Backwards.

He will play, but Brunell will start the season.

Not yet. If the Skins had taken a salary cap bath this year, maybe. But if the only reason the team is playing Campbell this year is to get him the reps, then it's the wrong idea.

I think trading Ramsey this year is the wrong idea, but hey, what do I know.

Unless we get a back up vet and get fair draft picks or player!

My view is you're a rookie for one year. After that year is over, there are no more reasons to hold you on the bench. You've had a year to learn, and hence this year I'd treat Campbell vs Brunell as if it were any other QB battle. The best one plays.

In my mind, it already is an open competition, and I think Gibbs will treat it that way too.

I think Brunell will end up starting this season, but I gotta give Campbell a chance to beat him out. Based on Gibbs' glowing reviews of Campbell, I think we have two good QBs entering this season, and that's a real sweet problem to have.

I agree here.

Brunell will likely start the season, BUT if Campbell shines in the preseason and appears capable of playing and playing well, Campbell will likely get a shot at some point.
