Brandon Noble did a radio interview on DC101 this morning. I don't have a link or anything so I'll just paraphrase what he said.
He said he was expecting to be cut, so it wasn't a surprise. He's done with football as a player, and is looking forward to moving on to other things, although he has no idea what that is at the moment. He said Gibbs called him personally, and they had a good conversation. He thought that was a classy move because head coaches don't always do that. Gibbs told him he wished he had him when he was 25, and healthy.
He talked about LaVar a bit, and said he was somewhat surprised by the situation, but he saw it coming. He was asked specifically if LaVar was a problem in the locker room, and he said no. LaVar is a great guy and he loved being a part of the team, and had good relationships with the players. He said he felt that LaVar and Gibbs had a good relationship, but didn't mention anything about other coaches. Says LaVar will catch on somewhere with a scheme that allows him to do what he does best, which is make plays, and he'll be successful.
He said that he thinks Washington will be able to get a 4th or 5th round pick for Ramsey, and made the Jets sound like the most likely candidate. He thinks Ramsey leaving could be a problem though, because Brunell is reaching the end of his career and Campbell has had no actual game experience. Says Campbell has a lot of talent, but with no NFL experience, he could struggle if he has to come in and lead a playoff team, if Brunell goes down.
He talked about free agent pickups, and says receiving core should be fine when Patten comes back healthy. He felt that defensive line was the biggest need, and perhaps a veteran corner to replace Walt Harris.
That's pretty much all of the Redskins related topics he discussed.
