I have mixed fellings about this. If Burnell went down is Campbell able to take over IE Doug Williams? Yes if he stays he wouldn't be happy but what best for the team. Yes if he went to the Jets for a 5th pick and a pick next year that could be a 3rd. I have to say that there must be another pick next year for this trade to be done in my eyes. Even if he dosen't play! If all went well and we did get a 5th and a 3rd that would be nice but if Burnell gets hurt we could pay a big cost in 06!

i would imagine the skins will be looking to sign a veteran qb this offseason to take the place of ramsey.
i'd like to see campbell the starter with brunell 2nd and another veteran 3rd.

All of the 'what if Brunell gets hurt' rhetoric assumes Ramsey plays well when he gets in. What happens if he stays, Brunell gets hurt and Ramsey craps the bed? Then he leaves after next season and we get absoultely nothing.. Something is better than nothing..

I here what you are saying but Ramsey most likey WOULD have a better shot at coming in and getting the job done then Campbell. Why because he [Ramsey] has played in the NFL and Campbell has not taken a snap!!! What you try to do is have a back up plan if a top player goes down and Gibbs has always had that guy at QB. Two deep is his way at QB. So I am not saying not trade Ramsey but maybe we need to look for a vet for that 3rd QB spot or maybe live with not getting anything for Ramsey to be safe. The way you are thinking is not smart. I know Ramsey is no sure thing but I would bet he has a better chance of doing well then a QB that has never played a down in the NFL. You don't wanted to be next years Jets!!!

The get rid of Ramsey party is fueled by the assumption that Brunell is some how going to get better, that his arm is going to become stronger, all the while playing under Saunders who will ask him to sit in the pocket and take a hit to allow WR to break open, ain't happening! Or they put all the eggs in 1 basket in Campbell and assume because he can throw an accurate ball in practice that he will step right in and start picking apart NFL defenses, DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH!
So in short if we are going to compete for a SB this season Brunell will have to do it all year, yea pretty funny, or we bag the season and allow Campbell to learn? Or we keep Ramsey who right now probably has the most going for him to actually push us to a contenders status.

Let Patrick play where he wants to play. He's a good QB, not great, but good, and he has more of a chance starting as a Jet than a Redskin. Two draft picks is fine.

The haunting part about Ramsey's upcoming departure is the success of departed Skins QBs.
I totally agree. I'll be super pissed if Ramsey shows up on game day and ends up with career stats :frusty:

How many heads do you think that just went over?
It's like a fricking Quentin Tarentino movie! All of these threads intertwine into one nasty gunfight at the end. It's hard keeping up, but I got that one!
