It sounds to me like we may be entering some crazy alternate universe where wearing on of those personalized jerseys with your own name on the back is cool. Just the thought of that makes me want to grow a mullet.
WARNING TO YOUNG SKINS FANS: Only buy old schoolArtMonkDrillz 03-06-2006, 11:20 AM It sounds to me like we may be entering some crazy alternate universe where wearing on of those personalized jerseys with your own name on the back is cool. I am in the process of getting a Cooley authentic, so I'll give it one more try. But I am definately going to invest in an old school of someone. I have to say this : I will proadly wear my #56 Lavar jersey every now and then. He will always be a Redskin in my eyes. I have a feeling that we will see ALOT of #56 jerseys on Sundays!! I think we should wear them on opening day next season. #56fanatic 03-06-2006, 11:50 AM buy jerseys for role players like sellers... they stay around longer. Moss and taylor and rodgers are safer bets too. go for guys that'd cost more to cut than keep for 3-4+ years. dont hold your breath. we said the same thing about Bailey and LaVar. No way they will ever be let go. That Guy 03-06-2006, 11:54 AM dont hold your breath. we said the same thing about Bailey and LaVar. No way they will ever be let go. first, i NEVER said either of those guys would stick around. and unlike them, taylor and rodgers are economically a bad idea to let go. of the other 3 you mentioned, 2 (bailey, davis) had contracts expire and 1 was obviously out of favor with this staff. the staff is stable right now and the rookie contracts are silly retarded to cut cause they're so cheap (and the players are young and talented). #56fanatic 03-06-2006, 12:01 PM first, i NEVER said either of those guys would stick around. and unlike them, taylor and rodgers are economically a bad idea to let go. of the other 3 you mentioned, 2 (bailey, davis) had contracts expire and 1 was obviously out of favor with this staff. the staff is stable right now and the rookie contracts are silly retarded to cut cause they're so cheap (and the players are young and talented). Relax, that was a bit of sarcasim, not fact. RiggoRules 03-06-2006, 12:04 PM After being burned by 21, 24 & 48, I'm sticking with 44 and 28. Pocket$ $traight 03-06-2006, 12:08 PM Well get the vasiline, good ole Ram Rod Life is getting ready to get a running start and is once again ruining my Redskin wardrobe. First it was Champ Bailey....yep, not 1 but 2 Bailey jerseys that I will never wear again, cost, roughly $125 total. Then, my favorite player. When we drafted LaVar I was thrilled. I ran out and ordered a custom made No. 56 "LaVar" jersey. I then got another "Arrington" No. 56 as a gift. Total cost, probably close to $150. Now Im down to my 2 Darrell Greens and my Riggins. That's it, done, never ever ever again! I don't care if Walter Payton returns from the dead, plays for the Skins, and runs for 2,000 yards in 3 consecutive seasons, I will never, ever acquire Redskin merchandise for any new era player again. Yep, next purchase will be a Gary Clark No. 84, a Monk No. 81, maybe a Dave Butz. Im broke, and Im pissed. Part of this is Arrington's fault. He made the contract discrepancy a public issue. He also did not live up to the expectations of a 70 million dollar deal. I liked Lavar and I wished he had been able to stay but if they can find another Marcus Washington or fill another need by letting him go, the team is better off. Gibbs is doing exactly what he set out to do by coming back. Look how close the team is now. All of the current players (excluding Lavar) agreed to restructure their deals to help the team. You cannot ask for a better core group of guys. That Guy 03-06-2006, 12:13 PM grim is right, its the quietest locker room in existance, ever. ST21 03-06-2006, 12:24 PM Smart Money is on Portis........by that Jersey....... ST21 03-06-2006, 12:26 PM Part of this is Arrington's fault. He made the contract discrepancy a public issue.
