This thread is kind of ridiculous. We all know the Skins are looking to just get as much as they can for him. I don't care where Ramsey's agent wants him to go.

If there are similar offers, the Skins would probably look at which one Ramsey would be happier with thus more inclined to strike a deal. If a team is going to trade a draft pick, they will want Ramsey to extend his contract. That is Ramsey's leverage.

a one year deal is worst case for ramsey.right now people already have opinions on his ability,so way signing a one year contract.im with thatguy on contacting every team in the league to try and create best case scenario for ramsey

I didn't follow your reasoning. Would you mind elaborating? Why is a one-year deal bad for Ramsey if he can pick his team?

If the CBA does not get extended, I doubt there will be any offers at all. People will know we need his cap room and will need to release him.

If the CBA does get extended, then we'd probably hold onto him until draft day and take the trade from the highest bidder. Which team that is makes ZERO difference to me.

Not to you, of course, but it will make a difference to Ramsey since, in all likelihood, the highest bidder will want him to sign a contract extension.

That's the problem with trying to trade him on draft day. That is the day he will have the most leverage of all. With all the QBs on the market now, he doesn't have much, but put him in a situation where a deal needs to be made without much time... hey... isn't that where we are with the CBA right this second???

right now general managers have a pre formed idea about ramseys talent.if their ideas are good about his abilty, more money and bargaining power to ramsey.if they like him,and he signs a one year contract and goes somewhere and really stinks it up,then whats he worth?

If I were Ramsey's agent ... I'd tell him to take a pay cut so he can remain with the Redskins and Ramseyfan wouldn't have to change his screen name.

I think the best Ramsey can expect from GMs right now is that they feel he has proven to be a solid Grade B QB who, in the right situation, still might move to the Grade A level.

If he goes into a situation where he ought to succeed but doesn't, his stock goes down whether it's a one-year deal or not.

If he doesn't have confidence in himself, then he'll take the best long-term contract he's offered regardless of the current situation with a team's supporting cast. I doubt that will happen.

Apparently you haven't heard this... a persistent rumor has a Ramsey deal already in play with the Dolphins. We get a fourth for him, but you go to Finheaven, a Dolphins message board, in trade for some guy with the screen name "Feeleyfan."
