Sheriff Gonna Getcha 03-03-2006, 12:57 PM According to Mort, the sides are meeting right now to try to hammer out an extension to the CBA. Sorry to post a new thread, but in light of the members' comments on the issue of threads, I gathered that people would want a new thread to be started (given a new development).

Definitely like the new thread for it. Squawk.
When Upshaw agreed to the extension, he had to feel that it was at least possible to get something done. Hopefully this is a good sign. Once again, I wait anxiously for an end to the tension. Come on NFL & NFLPA, either issue a pardon or drop the guillotine already!
me too! i like to see new headlines at the top of the forum
BigSKINBauer 03-03-2006, 01:37 PM Actually i think this was a perfect topic to have a new thread on. See the cba discusion will have its highs then its lows.... then it highs and lows......Then its highs and then its lows. The date is a very nice tough i should add. Maybe just a thought, old cap issues such as the owners calling off meetings and such should all be combined and the newest and most relevent topics should have there own thread until they too become just another old, sad, ugly, little thread at which time they should join there old, sad, ugly, little counterparts in the main thread...
BrudLee 03-03-2006, 01:59 PM I also like that it's dated. Well played, RF.

Based on BSB's response, I recommend that this thread be merged with the merged threads poll and the CBA threads poll. Ohhhhhhh! Multi-merging!
As for the new meetings - at this point, I have no clue what's going to happen. People keep saying sanity will reign. I was one of those who felt that a new CBA would get done. Now, I am not so sure - the longer this thing drags out, the more analysis gm's do, the more I think the owners are acclimating themselves to the idea. Who knows - now I will just have to twiddle my thumbs all day sunday to see who we cut, if everything goes away, or if I'll just have to wait and twiddle another day.
TheMalcolmConnection 03-03-2006, 02:52 PM Multimerging. Hmm, sounds sexy.

Would that then make it a merge a trois??
dmek25 03-03-2006, 03:06 PM 12th i was thinking along the same lines,so as they say, great minds think alike(????)
JoeRedskin 03-03-2006, 03:09 PM And another thing, speaking of multi merging - What effect will the CBA have on the Skins ability to field some of the hottest cheerleaders in the league?
