I agree...its grown on me tho

So I was looking at that show, but leaving for vacation the next morning.

Honestly, how is that venue for shows? Never been, but DC is such a shit drive from Richmond...

Easily the best venue in the region IMO. It's got the intimacy of 930 club, but probably 2-3 times the size. It's got something for everyone.

Parking is a bitch though. If you can make a night of it (dinner, drinks, etc) then so be it, but if you are flying out the next day I might skip it because of the hassle.

^^ Sunday Vibes by Masego and Medasin .. nice chill sound. If you like that check out FKJ and some others that pop up on recommended youtube.

^^ The Sound Defects .. they sound like the instrumental to any MF Doom album. real chill, a bit grimy, little to no vocals

I will pretty much listen to anything except for opera and any rap music made after about 1995. I like the old school stuff like Run DMC, NWA, 2 Live Crew, etc but nothing much after that. I had an employee who would listen to that stuff about a dozen years ago, that I suppose was current. Some of the songs must have had the N-word in them 100 times or more. I don't see how anyone could listen to that. I didn't like people wearing headphones or ear pieces while working, but I made a exception for him.

I seriously thought rap would come and go as quick as disco did, boy was I wrong.

The new album is a straight up masterpiece. It's incredible. 7empest and Pneuma are two of the greatest songs I've ever heard, by anyone. The musicianship is off the charts.
