My questions is why would they do it now? If they do it now they get a charge on their cap. Don't they save 7 million on this year's cap if they wait until June? That seven million could come in very handy with all this talent floating out there. It'd cost about 800k more to cut him than to keep him without a new cba (not 12mill more like someone else mentioned). I'd be highly surprised if they eat his cap when it'd force them to release other players though.
