70Chip 03-01-2006, 08:47 PM I think we should cut Brunell and save some cap.
You need to put that in your TPS report. Did you get the memo about the TPS reports? Great.
If I were Snyder I would sue the league in Federal Court. They are engaged in every form of nefarious monopoly, restraint of trade, collusion, extortion racketeering, violations of the Mann Act (see Panthers Cheerleaders), pimping, pandering, cruelty to animals, public urination, indecent exposure, and civil rights violations so numerous, profound, and disgusting that both brevity and decorum prohibit listing them here. Its outragous.
Why not. Davis beat them in court. It's the American way to sue when you can't have your way.

Wow - Office Space to Animal House, all in one post! Nice job!
Pocket$ $traight 03-01-2006, 10:12 PM I would make the cuts and sacrifice for 2006. Then I would sign every free agent that gibbs wants (and every player from the U) and pay all of the bonuses in 2007. I would also restructure every contract to get every single dollar possible paid in 2007. Then I would enjoy the football version of the Yankees for the next decade.

Good point GoSkins. Matty didn't realize that we would save about 30 grand by cutting Brunell outright.

Reaper, I'll do you one better. Instead of wholesale cuts, Snyder should restructure all large contracts and pay large, GUARANTEED base salaries for 2007 in lieu of bonus money. Bonuses would be prorated over multiple seasons while guaranteed base salaries would only count against the uncapped 2007 season. Snyder is one of the few owners with enough cash to guarantee many high base salaries for one season, and still make payroll.

The only problem with that is if they have a career ending/changing injury. Then you would have paid them all that money for one (or a partial) year.
Can we still cut Brunell??

I think that Matty realized. I was laughing at the sarcasm.:)

Yeah, I think that he waited to long to restructure.
He needs to be shown the door. I mean, didn't anyone else get it when STisG made the point in the now famous "Brunnel is Bad" thread?
