That is a very interesting idea. I would guess though that the Jets wouldn't accept it. It seems like that sort of deal would be worth a mid-3rd rounder; more than what the Jets would like to pay.

I think if the top of the draft works so the Jets can get Bush than that scenario could easily play out.

I know there has been a lot of talk about the Jets trading up. Maybe it will happen. But, the Jets have cap problems and there are tons of players available at #4 who would be great for them (i.e. Jay Cutler, D'Brickshaw Ferguson, Mario Williams, etc). They need multiple picks to fill multiple holes. Plus, there is a bevy of free agent, proven running backs who would cost a boatload less than the #1 pick ... even if his name is Reggie Bush.

The article in the Post indicated the Redskins had hoped for a 3rd or 4th round pick for Ramsey so that should be a reality check for the 'Abraham straight up' or 2nd round or bust crowd.. Now it looks like he will be released outright to get under the cap.

if he's gone i would have at least taken a 5th or 6th instead of nothing.
