Vic Carucci, of NFL.com (http://www.kffl.com/link/156), reports one rumor making the rounds at the NFL Combine (http://www.kffl.com/link/183) was the New York Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) trading with the Houston Texans (http://www.kffl.com/team/18/nfl) to acquire the No. 1 pick so they can select a quarterback to replace QB Chad Pennington (http://www.kffl.com/player/1351/nfl). As the rumor goes, the Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) supposedly covet former USC QB Matt Leinart (http://www.kffl.com/player/11162/nfl)

I don't see how they could do that... the texans would lose bush at #4... they could get a great LT though...

I agree if the Jets are in worse cap trouble than we are I do not see how they can do that...

Matt Leinart is going to be something especial. I would certainly take him over Young as my QB or any other QB because he played 4 years for a top flight program under an NFL coach. I would trade two 1st rounders and a 2nd and a 3rd rounder.

it's not like #4 is a bad spot, there's bush, leinart, young, and d'brickashaw available, there is an abundance of talented players.

Leinhart is the most polished QB coming out in a long time... vince hasn't done much of anything out of a 3-step drop, so he'd probably be helped the most by sitting a year.

I agree he'd probably be worth it, but i don't see why the texans would make that trade. They could move to #2 maybe, but i doubt they'd give up a shot at the 3 elite players this year.

The jets could get ramsey and DB thi year, and after sucking again (3/5 of their current oline starters are going to be gone) they'd be in prime position to draft quinn next year.

he's good, but ML and bush are on a completely different level, and vince isn't far behind.

Abraham and their 2nd & 4th might get it done.

it'd have to be crazy... like 5 picks and JA.

then the texans could get 3 starting olinemen, a good rb, and a good TE in their first 5 picks... that's a LOT of protection.
