People do realize that the 2007 uncapped season is supposed to be followed up by a strike in 2008, right?

What I don't understand is why would the players strike. They will be making a shit load of money in some places if there is not cap

I guess some would get pissed at others gettin 25x the amount they got but...

We seem to do pretty well during strike years. :)

Good point, but I don't want to see another strike. A strike may or may not happen in 2008 if a deal isn't reached, but I don't want to find out.

the strike would be for a higher percentage of revenues, BUT if the union decertifies and everything goes crazy, it means no cap, no minimum team salary (hello clippers franchises), no draft, no one way contracts (injuries can probably stop payment since they prevent a player from doing they're job, but MLB situation like sammy sosa getting $18mill to suck and suck hard would be tough luck for the owners who wouldn't be able to opt out of payment like they cap now).

This is football, unlike baseball or even basketball having the most talented guys on the field doesn't guarantee a win. Football is the ultimate "team sport", it's all about who plays better as a team. Consider the Patriots, they've created a dynasty and if you ask me with the exception of Tom Brady, there best player is the kicker. There team is not built with stars, but rather chemistry. Some of there best players would be mediocre at best if they were on other teams. If we can keep our core guys together (unlike recent years) we too will soon be saying "Win one for the thumb"...with or without a cap.

good front seven (richard seymour anyone?), rodney harrison (when not on IR), they had ty law... plenty of people better than vinetari on that roster.
